A few months ago, my husband, and sole other member of our band, left to go back to the states for a month, leaving me with the task of starting a new band to fill a few gigs we had during that time. Looking around through my many musical friends, I came to the unfortunate conclusion that many of them are simply not into the pub-gig thing. So I instead turned to my two closest work friends, Shawn and John, pictured above.

After many rehearsals, we formed the band, 'The John Henry Experience', which Shawn and I find immensely amusing. He also recently commented to me that there were no photos of him playing guitar, hence the photo you now see, as I exist solely to photograph my friends... apparently. :)

My particularly favourite part of the photo is my darling daughter's toys looming close by in the background, almost as if playing impromptu audience members while John bangs out the latest from 'Kings of Leon'. He's a good one for pulling out those new radio hits.
