when the drummer isn't looking
2008-02-08
As my computer is slowly dying and my new motherboard has proven to not play nicely with my new chip on my NEW computer (phooey), I'm paying homage to my archives again. Technically, this shot isn't that old, just from a month or so ago, but I'm missing the fresh feeling you get when you have a whole new batch of photos to enjoy and explore.
Anyway, I've always particularly liked this shot, taken from a rehearsal shoot I did for the regularly appearing band in my blog. At this particular moment, the drummer, who can not have a lens pointed towards him without pulling a face, had not noticed yet that I was approaching his shoulder, and then, when I'm just about to take the shot, he spins his sticks... He NEVER spins his sticks. Such a ham that guy, but the effect it captured makes me smile.
